Kick Panels are an integral part of a safe environment with in a stable. Many owners are not aware of the danger to horses when horses kick. With the horse being a stupid animal – fright and flight stuff or fear of having their food stolen (although impossible) etc, horses lash out. Unfortunately if unchecked it will land up with big vet bills or even death ** see footnote.
Advantages of kick panels are:

- They absorb the impact of the kick thus dissolving the force of the kick through the rubber.
- The deaden the sound, so there is no reward when managers come running to see why there was a bang.
- They protect the walls and wooden panels (if a wooden stable) from damage.
- Eliminate hock abrasion if the horse casts itsself
Kick panels can be installed in horse boxes and floats as well as stables. They are not pretty but do an excellent job.
** I lost a TB to kicking. He was the quietest saint you could ever wish for. Never caused any problems! On holiday we get the dreaded call “Your horse has broken its leg just below the pelvis”. I was a freak accident
